System Options
Have Action Teams
Action Teams will activate a Team section for all Action types. A group of users can then be linked to a specific Action as Team Members. Each user can monitor the status of Team Actions in View | Actions by Owner, choosing the Select Action Status for Team Open Actions, displaying a list of all Action Teams the user belongs to. Clicking the Send Mail button in an Action will have a checkbox option for Copy To: Team Members when sending notifications.
Account Access By Location and Internal Access By Location
Access By Location requires a Location for each User and each Account including Suppliers and Distributors. In the New Account or Edit Account mode, a drop down list will be enabled for Account Locations as configured in Setup | User Information | Locations. Locations checked as a User Location will be available Locations for Accounts. Account Access By Location limits Location access for all Accounts. Internal Access By Location limits location access for all Internal Areas.
When an end user's location access is limited, they will only be permitted to view Accounts or Internal Areas assigned to the same Location they belong to. In View | Open Concerns and View | Open Actions, Display All will include any open Concerns or Actions that are owned by the logged in user, regardless of Account location, plus any Open Concerns for Accounts within the User's Location.
When Access by Location is enabled:
NOTE: User access to all locations requires a specific access privilege setting under Setup | User Information | User Groups. Check the System Privileges option, Access to All Locations.
Auto Save Notifications
Saves all user-generated notifications as Concern Attachments including New Owner Notifications, Return Authorizations, Action Notifications and Close Notifications. The Auto Save occurs whenever a user completes the process of sending an email message or printing the notification as a letter. An on-screen message confirms for the user whenever an Auto Save happens.
Audit Log
An Audit Log is enabled by selecting the Create Audit File checkbox. The Audit Log is a history file which records every add, change and delete for concern records. This can be turned on and cleared (Clear Audit File button) only by a user with System Manager privileges. Audit Log information can be viewed by a user with System Manager privileges in Reports | Audit Reports.
NOTE: Enabling the Audit Log feature in Everest will cause a significant increase in database file size. As a result, a larger amount of hard drive space will be necessary for the server where the database is located. This feature is only recommended when it is a mandatory requirement.
