Locations

The checkboxes for each Location will determine where the name of that Location is used in the system.  Each Location can be enabled for one or more of the following purposes:

• User Locations define the Locations associated with each User profile
• User Locations are required for Accounts and Internal Areas when Access by Location is enabled in Configuration | Other Options | System Options
• The Data Names for Location and Department are sometimes reversed in Configuration | Data Names for "Access by Department" instead of Location
  
• Manufacturing Locations are the drop down list for each Product on the Product Tab
• A default Manufacturing Location can be pre-defined for a Product in Setup | Product Information | Products
• A default Manufacturing Location is an optional field for the Product Import in Adminstration | Imports (requires the same Location names defined here)
  
• Repair Locations are a drop down list on the Repairs Tab
  
• Return Locations are a drop down list on the Returns Tab
• Separate Return Locations may have unique Return Authorization templates defined in Setup | Notification Templates 

Reports, Charts and Queries are available based on Concern Owner Location and Manufacturing Location (Mfg Location).  Queries also include Originator Location.

Web Concerns submitted via Web Portals can have the Default Owner routing based on Location.
