Create Initial Password Upon First Login
When a password is required, the field is typically left blank to begin with so each User sets their own password. The first time a User logs in, entering the Login Id, they must leave the Password field blank and then the system will immedately prompt them to create their own password.
Password Reset
If a User forgets their password, a System Manager may reset the Password field either of the following ways:
1. Delete the characters in the password field, leave the field blank and click the Save button. The next time this User logs in, they must enter the Login Id and leave the Password field blank, then click the Login button. The system will immediately prompt them to create their own new password. It is important the User understands how the Password field needs to be left blank this first time only, and then they will be prompted to create a new one.
2. Delete the password characters and type a new password into the field, then click the Save button. The new password that was saved must be communicated to the User since they will need it to login.
The Signature password field will only appear when dual signatures are required for Approvals in Configuration | Other Options | Approvals. Only Users associated with User Groups having the access privilege to Perform Approvals will need to maintain an electronic signature in addition to a password.
