Concern Tab
The Concern Tab contains the basic information relating to a concern. This includes Type, Category, Summary and Detail Description, Contact Name, Originator and Owner information, Date Received, Due Date, Priority and Concern Status.
A new Contact can be added to an Account on-the-fly from the Concern record if necessary.
A unique Control Number is automatically assigned and the Date Received will default to the current date. If the automatic assignment of Control Numbers is disabled, a Control Number must be entered. The Originator and Concern Owner names default to the current user unless the Concern Category specifies a default Concern Owner name for automatic routing.
The Originator may choose a Concern Owner name from the drop down list and click the Notify New Owner button to send an email message to them.
Closure
The Concern Owner will close a Concern by typing a Resolution to summarize the Actions taken. Cause category is a drop down list usually specified when the Concern is closed. The Resolution text box may describe further details about the cause that will be helpful for improvements to a process or a product.
